We at Houston Medical Imaging are proud to announce two new additions to our full time medical staff, two highly reputable board certified radiologists; Dr. Scott Staewen, specializing in musculoskeletal radiology, and Dr. Linda Hankins, specializing in neuroradiology.
Scott Staewen, MD
A native of San Antonio, Dr. Staewen attended the Texas A & M University, receiving a BS degree in biomedical engineering. He graduated from the University of Texas Medical School in 1987. Subsequently, he completed an internship in general surgery at St. Paul Hospital in Dallas, a residency in diagnostic radiology as well as a fellowship in magnetic resonance spectroscopy and imaging at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. In 1994, Dr. Staewen completed a fellowship in musculoskeletal imaging at the University of California San Francisco.
Dr. Staewen had been in private practice in Houston since 1995. A specialist in musculoskeletal imaging, Dr. Staewen has a keen interest in the diagnosis of sports related injuries.
Linda Hankins, MD
A native of Detroit, Michigan, Dr. Linda Hankins attended the University of California at Irvine, receiving Bachelor and Masters of Science degrees in neurobiology. She graduated from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston in 1985. Her flexible internship was completed at St. Joseph's Hospital in Houston in 1986. She completed a residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in neuroradiology at the University of Texas at Houston. Dr. Hankins is a senior member in the American Society of Neuroradiology and also holds memberships in the American Societies of Pediatric Neuroradiology and Head and Neck Radiology.
Dr. Hankins spent eleven years on the faculty of the UT Houston Medical School. She has been in private practice in Houston since 1998. Her interests include all aspects of neuroradiology, including myelography and some aspects of pain management.
